Union Pacific Dome-Lounge Car #9002 is one of
fifteen similar cars (#9000-9014) built by ACF
(plan #235-LB-31669) in 1955 to carry the drum-
heads of U.P.'s fleet of "City" streamliners. The
following year the observation ends were removed
so the cars could be used in mid-train service next
to the diners.
