This view shows some of Boston's landmarks. The State House, capitol of Massachusetts, located on Beacon Hill. Faneuil Hall, known as the "Cradle of Liberty was the focus of Revolutionary Movement in Boston and the colonies. Old State House, where John Hancock was inaugurated first Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1780. Within a few feet of it occurred the Boston Massacre. Old North Church on Salem Street. From its steeple was displayed Paul Revere's signal lanterns the night of April 18, 1775. Bunker Hill Monument erected on Breed's Hill, Charlestown, to commemorate the battle of Bunker Hill, June 17, 1775.
