THE SPANISH CABILDO.
When Louisiana passed into the hands of
the United States in 1803 this building be-
came the City Hall, afterwards the admistra-
tive headquarters of the first municipality,
later it became the supreme court headquar-
ters and in 1910 it was made the state
museum.
