| Golden Gate International Exposition 1939-1940. Pacifica was the theme statue for the exposition, representing world peace, neighborliness, and the power of a unified Pacific Coast. She stands 81 feet high, in front of a 100 foot metal curtain of stars. In front of the statue is a circular fountain, surrounded by figures sculpted by eight different artists. |
