LIMERICK GENERATING STATION
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA
Beneath the sign of an ancient promise, hyperbolic
cooling towers preserve the thermal quality of
the Schuylkill River
Owned and operated by Philadelphia Electric Company, the
station's two boiling water reactors produce more than 2,000,000
kilowatts of electric power. In 1991, Limerick Generating Station and
its water supply system were named the Outstanding Engineering
Achievement in the Delaware Valley,
