I remember back around 1976 or so, when I worked for a company right next door to the Claridge Hotel, I looked out the window daily to see the destruction company tear it down. Think it was the Maurer Co. Austin Maurer operated the heavy duty machines. What a sight to see, he was so handsome! :)
