U.S. S. WISCONSIN (BB64) This 45,000 ton Battleship was built at the Navy Yard, Phila., Pa. Her keel was laid on 25 January 1941; she was launched on 7 December 1943; and commissioned on 16 April 1944. She joined the Pacific Fleet in October 1944 and thereafter took part in every Fast Carrier Task Force operation until the end of hostilities, coming to anchor in Tokyo Bay on 5 September 1945.
