This ear won the Grand Champion Trophy at the contest of the Iowa Corn Growers' Association held at Ames, Iowa, in January, 1907. It sold at public auction for the phenomenal price of $150.00, or at the rate of $8,850.00 per bushel. Was exhibited at the National Corn Exposition held at Chicago, Ill., October 5th to 19th, 1907, as the Champion of the World. Raised one mile east of Grand Mount, Iowa, by D.L. Pascal, breeder of pure seed corn. Address RFD No. 1, De Witt, Iowa.
