Allerton House, in Robert Allerton Park, near
Monticello, Illinois. Located in the 2000-acre
park and 4-H campsite presented to the Univ-
ersity of Illinois by Robert Allerton, the stately
Georgian building was formerly the donor's
home. It is now used by the University for
extension courses, conferences, seminars
and other gatherings, attended by persons
from all sections of Illinois and from many
other states and countries.
