His father, General Arthur Macarthur served in the Philippines, later becoming Governor General. Douglas MacArthur graduated form West Point, the No. 1 honor man o his class in 1903 Served in the champagne - Marne and the Aisna Marne sector in World War No. 1 was twice wounded in action. Now in command of the Allied Forced in the Far East.
