ALF OF THIS TOWN is in Texas
and half in Arkansas. Everybody
drinks half-and-half. Half water and
the other half water. The State line
runs right through the center of the city.
Everybody hangs their washing on the
line. In some places they arrest you if you are
the least bit out of line. They don't here unless
you are all in. Lots of twins here. They call it
the Twin City. Texarkana has two fine sanita-
riums-one on either side. They operate for ap-
pendicitis here on both sides. Have found this to
be a fine place-Eleven seventy in Texas and Five
Dollars in Arkansas-or ten days. Will be here
at least ten days.
