One of the oldest churches on the North American continent And the second oldest Mission in the Mexico. The Old mission at Socorro, N. M. has much historic legend and tradition from the offer of one million dollars reward for the return of the solid silver Communion tail of the original church built in 1626 - and thought to have been buried during the Indian Rebellion of 1680 and, in addition to being a religious edifice, all deeps to land in Socorro read: "Del centro de la iglesia" (from the center of the church).
