The origin of this old Church dates back
to 1702. The present structure was built
A. D. 1839 on the site of the former one
reared A. D. 1719, where stood the ancient
Log Church. The Historic Oak estimated
four hundred years old, its branches ex-
tend 130 feet from tip to tip. Noted for
its large trunk, being 23 feet and 7 inches
in circumference.
