Groton, Connecticut, is a rapidly growing community with
excellent transportation facilities airport, harbor, railroad and
truck terminals. Originally farmla.id for its twin city across the
Thames River, New London, Groton was made a town in 1704. Its
landmark, the Groton Monument, commemorates a battle fought
against the British in 1781. Among its installations are the U. S.
