The largest municipally owned airport in the world, covering 1,000 acres. Includes a main field on which is the eastern division headquarters of the transcontinental day and night mail route, mail and express routes to Detroit, Youngstown and Pittsburgh, commercial air lines and flying school. The Ohio National Guard flying unit occupies the second field. A visit to the port at 11:30 P.M. is one of the most interestsing sights in the country, with planes landing and leaving by the light of a 500,000,000 candle floodlight. Planes arrive daily from New York, 4:20 P.M. and 2:15 A.M.; Pittsburgh 4:00 P.M.; Detroit 12:15 P.M.; Chicago 4:35 P.M. and 2:30 A.M.
