CENTENNIAL MURAL
Eureka Springs, Arkansas
This mural, 12 feet high and over 55 feet wide, dramatizes the early days of the city, from the
Indians, who first discovered the healing springs, to the tourists of the 20th century. Created and
supervised by the well known artist-muralist Louis Freund, it was painted by him and other
members of the Eureka Springs Guild of Artists and Craftspeople. It adorns one wall of the Chandler
Building in the downtown area.
