The Colonies of France French Cameroon. A part of Cameroon (280,000 sq.kilometers) was ceded to France by Germany in 1911 and was reincorporated as Equatorial French Africa; later 3/5 of the German territory (430,000 sq. km.) was mandated to France per the S.D.N. (the remaininbg 2/5 to England). The population (2,300,000 inhabitants) is principally composed of natives of the Bantu race. The plateaus are watered by several rivers that flow into the Atlantic bordering countries to the west
