THE VERMONT MILL STORES of the A. G.
Dewey Company feature fine woolens made
for generations by this family-owned New
England mill, the first of its kind in America.
The shop at scenic Quechee Gorge is lo-
cated near the 162-foot highway bridge which
formerly carried the old Woodstock Railway.
The Middlebury and North Dorset Shops on
Route 7 are both housed in one-room school-
houses built in 1823 and 1863.
