Reverse side of this card is a Maximum. This VELVETONE Maximum is made from a photograph of a working model of the stamp, but has been enlarged to Post Card size. The 3c stamp issued to honor those who helped fight polio receives First Day of Issue release on January 15, 1957 at Washington, D. C. The Polio stamp is 0.84 by 1.44 inches in dimension, arranged vertically, printed by rotary process, electric-eye perforated, and issued in sheets of 50. Color is purple. Even if bearing a stamp on other side, this card MUST NOT be mailed unless bearing two cents postage on this side
