Yosemite National Park
Additional Details:
Tuolumne Meadows (8,600 ft.) is a chain of remarkably beautiful meadows near Yosemite's eastern boundary. Rewards for long Sierra winters are carpets of brilliantly hued wildflowers, among them, Lemmon's Paintbrush and Alpine Shooting Star which appear in July and August while patches of snow may remain all summer in the higher elevations.
