Steamer City of Cleveland, which went into commission on the Detroit-Cleveland run in 1907, is the largest and fastest passenger vessel on fresh water. According to the officials of the Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Co., who owns her, she can carry 3,500 passengers, for 1,000 of whom berths are provided. Her 1,000-horsepower engines can drive her at a speed of 25 miles an hour. this steamer now runs between Detroit and Buffalo. |
