The Mark on the Park
Named after the famous humorist, Samuel L. Clemens, the
MARK TWAIN HOTEL is a modern setting for the colorful
background of Showboat Era brought to life by the New
Orleans Room and other sections of the hotel appropriately
named. Mark Twain lived in Elmira 32 years, and is buried
with his wife and children in Woodlawn Cemetery here.
The hotel that perpetuates his name is one of New York
State's finest. William C. Emerson, owner-manager.
