Flint Ridge is an irregular line of hills extending thru Licking and Muskingum Counties for a distance of several miles. The Ridge was the chief source of flint for the Indians inhabiting this area. The Flint was quarried from hundreds of Pits - scenes of which ca be seen in this memorial area, near Newark, Ohio.
