The Tomb of the Unknown at Arlington National
Cemetery, Va., marks the resting place of 2,111 un-
known soldiers gathered after the Civil War from
the fields of Bull Run and the route to the ap-
pahannock. To the right is seen the
Fame around the dome of which,
columns, are inscribed the names
Navy heroes.
