Additional Details:
The Texas Longhorn is typical of the West and has figured more actively in US history than any other animal. The Longhorn was originally brought from Spain to the Southwest in 1521 - and was king of the cattle country until the early 1900s. Today there are only a few of these hardy critters left - and they soon may become extinct. The picturesque animal here was purchased from the US Government - and is a real Longhorn privately owned by The Long Horn Ranch
