Founded by Father Marquette in 1671, St.
Ignace is now the converging point for all traffic
between Michigan's two peninsulas. Located on
the shore of East Moran Bay, 3 blocks from the
Ferry Landing and on U. S. highway to the
famous Soo Locks, is the Indian Village (upper
right).
