Dug in 1887. Estimated cost $45,000. The exhibit of this well is made possible through the courtesy of the city of Greensburg and Chamber of Commerce. The huge excavation 32 feet in diameter and 109 feet deep was cased with a wall of native stone to prevent caving. The stone wall casing was built on a circular wood platform on the ground level.
