Meyer Circle, with the huge fountian as the central decoratin, is represntative of the landscaping and beautification program applied generally throughout the principal residence sections. The boulevard and circle are named after August Meyer, chairman of the first Park Board, and looked upon as the originator of the system of parks and boulevards which have made kansas City famous.
