Additional Details:
Kentucky State Buildings, Jamestown Exposition, 1907. A reproduction of the Fort or Stockade of Daniel Boone, who became in 1769 the pioneer in the settlement of the State of Kentucky. He founded Boonesborough, on the Kentucky River, and was for many years the chief hero among the many rude and picturesque figures on the frontier. He excelled especially in Indian warfare, and countless stories are related of his adventures and hair-breadth escapes
