This building was erected in 1855 in the now extincted towm of Pawnee for the first legislatute of the terriotory of Kansas. The members were mostly Missourians, fraudently elected in an effort to make Kansas a slave state. The building was restored in 1928 by the Union Pacific Railroad. It's located on the Fort Riley Military Reservation between Monhattan and Junction City, Kans.
