Open June - July - August Just 20 beautiful miles by car or bus, to Cherokee Village and Smoky Mountains Park. Along the road are Indians, bears and wonderful scenery. Lakeside Lodges are rustic, plain, clean and cool. Hot and cold water in the rooms. some large rooms with sleeping porches for families. The kitchen-dining room is half way between Lower Lakeside and Upper Lakeside to prevent fire danger. Many nights a large fire in the lobby is quite comfortable and the quests enjoy popping corn and toasting marshmallows. Come to Lakeside on vacation or a weekend. Boats and fishing equipment are free
