Additional Details:
Is located at the south end of the Sierra Madre Mountains and for over a century has been the southeast gateway to the coast. Indians used this trail, before the white man, to trade with the coast Indians. Trading camps were set up along the Santa Ana River near the present town of Colton. William Wolfskill blazed the Spanish Trail from Santa Fe to Los Angeles through this pass in 1831. From the summit is an inspiring view of the desert, valley, and the San Bernadino Mountains
