Of great historic interest is Chickamauga Park,
a 5,565 acre Government park where the Chick-
amauga Battlefields are located. These Battle-
fields, which are kept in a natural state, still
contain buildings which were used as hospitals
and headquarters during the Civil War. Many
monuments and markers, some noted for their
beauty and size, have been erected here such as
Wilder's Monument.
