THE X-15 ROCKET POWERED RESEARCH PLANE
The X-15 ROCKET POWERED RESEARCH PLANE will soon make
one of its first test flights into space. It is being readied for the Air Force, the
Navy and the National Aeronautic Space Agency by North American
Aviation, Inc. It is so advanced in design, that it might be called "A Manned
Missile”. It is the forerunner of the craft that will cruise through Outer
space.
This is No. 15 of the new 1959 series of twenty-four cards illustrating and describing
