TYRANNOSAURUS (Ty-ron-o-sar-us)
Tyrannosaurus, King of the tyrant lizards, was
the largest flesh eater ever to trod the earth.
It lived at the close of the Cretaceous Period,
which marks the disappearance of all dinosaur
life. A large adult attained a length of forty
feet and stood 20 feet in height. His enormous
head was armed with seventy-two dagger-like
teeth, six inches long.
