Kootenai Valley and river

BONNERS FERRY, IDAHO, gateway to two Canadian Highways, is located thirty miles from the border. The Kootenai River, in background, is one of the Columbia's largest tributaries. The Kootenai Valley surrounding Bonners Ferry is one of the most fertile in the west.
