generators are installed with a third unit
authorized to bring the generating capacity
to 202,500 kilowatts. Pillar-like walls and
dome are unfinished concrete. Fontana Dam,
which rises 480 feet from its base in the
little Tennessee River in North Carolina, is
one of the largest dams in the world.
