Additional Details:
The spring, known as the Blue Hole, was used by the Indians from time immemorial, as evidenced by the arrowheads, etc., found nearby. It is 92 ft. deep, has a constant flow of 3,000 gallons per minute at 62 degrees F. In the past used for irrigating purposes, it is now the sole supply for 21 fish hatching ponds. Like most New Mexico springs, the water is hard.
