Rib Mountain, located on the outskirts of the city
of Wausau, is the highest point in the state. Its ele-
vation is 1,940 feet above sea level. A state park,
comprising 160 acres, is at the very top of the moun-
tain. A splendid road has been built to the summit.
The top of the mountain affords a magnificent pano-
rama of the surrounding country.
