This view shows the main entrance to the "Great White Sands",
the Administration Building and the Museum. The snow-white
glistening sands which are deposits of wind-blown gypsum drift
into huge dunes. This large rare gypsum desert, the "White
Sands" is located in the Tularosa Basin, 15 miles West of Alamo.
