To the left, the parent vine of the Concord Grape; centre, the originator, Ephriam Bull (with skullcap), and in the rear, his home known as Grape Vine Cottage. The (x) marks the original vine. The Concord Grape, the grape "shot round the world," which by long years of patient cultivation, was introduced by Ephriam Bull in 1855, and immediately became very popular, not only in New England, but throughout the country.
