The Eastern States Exposition occupies a modern exposition plant of 172 acres. Buildings of permanent brick, steel and concrete construction, with grounds value more than $2,500,000. Attendance 300,000. The Gilbert Homestead originally built 1794 at West Brookfield, Mass. removed and reconstructed on the Exposition grounds 1927 at a cost of $15,000 by Mrs. James J. sorrow. Typical type of farm house of that period. Used for exhibition purposes as part of the home arts show. "America's Premier Exposition."
