Series 45501 The Old French Market, New Orleans, La. Erected in 1913, on the spot of the old vendors of food, first by the Indians and later by the truck gardeners from the lower coast. The first building was erected in 1791, by the Spaniards, and was destroyed in 1915 by a hurricane. |
