At Franconia Notch, New Hampshire, the Cannon Mountain Aerial tramway takes the up-hill work out of down-mountain skiing. The mile long ride to the summit of Cannon Mountain is made in less than eight minutes. Here, at an altitude of over 4000 feet, is the start of four down mountain trails: Cannon Mountain, Tram Ravine, Richard Taft and Coppermine. |
