As a rule a number of weddings take kplace on the morning of the Corn Dance. These weddings are performed in the church by the Catholic prist. After the ceremony the entire wedding party forms in a parade and proceeds to the plaza where the damce is held. The figure of the Holy virgin is carried under a canopy and deposited in a temporary shrine on the plaza. The priests in their robes and vestments accompany the Procession. The Pueblo Indian is an industrious and intelligent citizen, who alternately labors and then relaxes himself in games and ceremonies.
