Located near the Government Tour Center, the café is so designed that tourists can see from their tables in the spacious air-cooled dining room a full view of the spillway of the Grand Coulee Dam where 3,000,000 gallons of water plunge downward each second to rejoin the Columbia river as a wall of water 1650 ft. long and 17 ft. thick plunges over the Dam in a 320 ft. falls during the average high-water season. A second Green Hut Cafe and Curio Shop can be found across the river in the shopping district. |
