| Just outside the southwestern end of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are three beautiful lakes made by power dams built by the Aluminum Company of America. Lake Santeetlah, a bit of which is seen here, has a shore line of more than eighty miles. A state highway (N. C. No. 108) which with Tennessee highway No. 72, skirts the southwestern end of the park, follows along the shore of Lake Santeetlah for ten miles |
