A new three-story building first occupied during the college year 1959-60, provides adequate facilities for the departments of biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics. The spacious lecture rooms and laboratories are served and supplemented by numerous seminar rooms, research laboratories, libraries, and stock rooms. A private, liberal arts, co-educational institution of 700 students, Wilmington College was founded in 1870 by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). |
