Additional Details:
This old windmill was built in 1801 from timber cut in the Northwest woods. It stood between Water Mill and Bridgehampton and was in active use until 1919, grinding corn and grain. Moved to its present location in East Hampton, Long Island, N. Y. about 1950 where it now stands overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. "Come to Long Island - Land of History"
