Tesuque Pueblo (Indian name Te-Tsu-ge) "The Cottonwood Tree Place" is the last Pueblo retaining the quadrilateral arrangement. The word "Pueblo" is Spanish, meaning community or settlement. Not all the Pueblo Indians are of one tribe. Tesuque is inhabited by members of the Tewa tribe and numbers about 100.
